On the morning of January 6, 2023, at the Hall of the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho city, a conference on summarizing the science and technology industry in 2022 and implementing the tasks in 2023 was held.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Ngoc He – Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People’s Committee, Ngo Anh Tin – Director of Department of Science and Technology, Board of Directors of Department of Science and Technology, leaders of institutes, School, Department of Finance, Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Construction, Department of Education, Department of Information and Communication, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Health economic, Union of Science and Technology Associations of Can Tho, leaders of People’s Committees of districts, science and technology enterprises, leaders of departments and units under the Department of Science and Technology, press agencies in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2022, the Department of Science and Technology has completed and exceeded the targets assigned by the City People’s Committee under Decision No. 3840\/QD-UBND dated December 21, 2021 on the assignment of socio-economic development plan targetsin 2022 (of which, 03\/05 targets have exceeded the plan).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advising the City People’s Committee, submitting to the City People’s Council for promulgation 03 resolutions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
+ Resolution No. 03\/2022\/NQ-HDND dated July 8, 2022 of the Council City people stipulate the level of support for registration of intellectual property protection until 2030 in the area of \u200b\u200bCan Tho city<\/p>\n\n\n\n
+ Resolution No. 04\/2022\/NQ-HDND dated July 8, 2022 of the Council City people shall stipulate the level of expenditure from the state budget to implement the Program to support enterprises to improve productivity and quality of products and goods by 2030 in the area of \u200b\u200bCan Tho city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
+ Resolution No. 22\/2022\/NQ-HDND dated July 8, 2022 of the Council City people promulgate the list of public non-business services using the budget state in the field of science and technology under the management of Can Tho city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Support and develop the sScience and tTechnology market<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coordinate with the Propaganda Department of the City Party Committee to organize the City-level Science Conference with the theme “Science, technology and innovation to promote digital transformation in agriculture”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Organized “Techmart, specialized agricultural equipment and post-harvest technology market – Techmart Agriculture 2022” with the theme “Science, technology and innovation – Driving force for sustainable agricultural development” in the framework Vietnam International Agriculture Fair 2022 in Can Tho city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Support enterprises to apply science and technology, develop startup ecosystem creative innovation industry<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Organizing Innovation and Startup Festival in the Mekong Delta in 2022 \u2013 Techfest Mekong 2022 chaired by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the People’s Committee of Can Tho city with the participation and coordination of many organizations, units and businesses in the open innovation startup community. The Department of Science and Technology coordinated to organize with the message “Aspirations for the Land of Nine Dragons” the event took place at the Vietnam Korea Industrial Technology Incubator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
State management of science and technology<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deploying 11 science and technology tasks, checking and accepting 10 science and technology T tasks. Support districts to register for implementation of 16 projects (including 10 transitional projects and 06 new projects). Signed contracts to implement 10 transitional projects and 02 new projects. Acceptance of 04 projects<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Get expert opinions on technology assessment and appraisal for 09 projects under the fields of environment, information technology…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Guidelines for establishing and protecting intellectual property rights for 155 cases (including: 143 trademarks, 05 patents, 04 renewals and 03 copyrights). From January to December 2022, the city has 546 industrial property protection applications (523 trademarks, 19 patents and 04 industrial designs) and 393 new protection titles granted by the National Office of Intellectual Property (387 trademarks, 03 inventions and 03 utility solutions).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coordinate with the Center for Technical Support for Nuclear Radiation Safety and Incident Response, Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety – Ministry of Science and Technology successfully organized a city-level nuclear and radiation incident response exercise in 2022, with the situation assumption: \u201cIncident response to the loss of radioactive sources at the facility conducting radiation work and the situation where the radioactive source is disrupted\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Organized 09 inspections on measurement, quality and label of products: gold, fine art jewelry, petroleum, children’s toys, electricity – electronics, helmets, steel for concrete reinforcement, liquefied petroleum gas. Inspection results at 235 establishments, with 1,901 products checked for labels, 909 products checked for quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc He, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People’s Committee highly appreciated the achievements of the Science and Technology Sector in 2022. In 2023, the Science and Technology Sector needs closely following the direction of the Central Committee, the City Party Committee, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the People’s Committee of Can Tho City, concretize in activities so that science and technology are really the driving force for socio-economic development; Strengthen coordination in the implementation of scientific and technological tasks, especially with the Ministry of Science and Technology, Can Tho University, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, provinces in the Mekong Delta, departments and branches in Can Tho City; Strengthen research activities applying science and technology into practice; Continue to promote digital transformation, digitize processes and procedures; Continue to perform well and closely state management of science and technology in Can Tho city.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
