Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung affirmed so at the Workshop “Technological Innovation – The Role of Enterprises, Science and Technology Organizations and Management Agencies”, held in Hanoi, organized by the National Fund for Technology Innovation Organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attending the workshop were Mr. Hoang Van Phong, former Chairman of the National Science and Technology Policy Council, former Minister of Science and Technology, and many representatives from institutes, universities, enterprises, and science and technology organizations throughout the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Appreciate technology innovation activities in enterprises<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference was organized to encourage the combination of three houses: “State, entrepreneurs and scientists”. At the Workshop, 6 reports were presented around the main topics such as: Overview of some activities to promote technological innovation implemented from Ministries in general and Ministry of Science and Technology in particular; Listen to reports and synthesize opinions of representatives of state management units, businesses and scientific organizations to clearly see the advantages and disadvantages in the process of performing the task of supporting businesses. technological innovation industry; In-depth discussion to agree on proposals for each subject and effective coordination mechanism to support technology innovation activities will have great success in the coming time.

Deputy Minister Tran Van Tung said that the Vietnamese Government as well as the Ministry of Science and Technology pay special attention to promoting and supporting technological innovation activities in enterprises. Identifying enterprises as the center of science and technology innovation, formulating and implementing state support policies through the formation of S&T Development Funds, National Technology Innovation Fund, Business Support Funds small and medium enterprises from national to local scale, national programs under ministries and branches. This shows the determination of the Government of Vietnam as well as of the ministries and branches in focusing efforts to improve the growth quality of the economy, renewing the growth model towards science and technology and innovation activities. innovation as the foundation and driving force for the country’s sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Deputy Minister Tran Van Tung also said that up to now, after a period of implementing technology innovation support activities from ministries, branches and localities, with the following advantages and many difficulties: when going into practice as well as the combination of the three houses. Besides, the technological innovation capacity of Vietnamese enterprises is still very modest compared to enterprises in other countries in the region and in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Binh, Director of the National Fund for Technology Innovation also said that in the current economic context, the role of enterprises is increasingly important. Enterprises play an active role and are the center of technological innovation activities. Technological innovation is the self-advocacy demand of enterprises, the state only creates a favorable legal environment, not changes it. Technological innovation will create conditions for businesses to expand product markets, and at the same time contribute to promoting research and development activities to create new products, new processes and new technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strengthen the link<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the seminar, many opinions of the participants also expressed the view that, in the current trend, the role of businesses is increasingly important. Enterprises must be the central object of innovation, so the State should create conditions to further promote mechanisms and policies to support enterprises; strengthen the relationship of the Three Houses;\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Affirming that enterprises play an important role in technological innovation, however, Mr. Truong Minh Khoi, General Director of Construction and Industrial Equipment Joint Stock Company (CIE) also said that in order to operate effectively, Quality change, really breakthrough, bringing practical effects to businesses and society requires strengthening, close and close coordination with the State, scientists and businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sharing the same view, Mr. Nguyen Manh Quan – Director of the Institute of Enterprise Research and Development, Hanoi University of Business and Technology also said that technological innovation is one of the driving forces for businesses to integrate. success and rapid economic growth. In this process, S&T organizations play a very important role, as a bridge between policies and businesses and a catalyst for the process of transforming government policies and resources into useful technological solutions for enterprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the conclusion of the workshop, Deputy Minister Tran Van Tung acknowledged the shared ideas and suggestions of the participants. The Deputy Minister said that for the country’s socio-economic development, there is no other way to put businesses at the center. However, in order to do this, businesses also need to put their heads together with research organizations and state agencies to see what they need, how they need support to implement technological innovation and create products. able to compete in domestic and international markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Deputy Minister also suggested that the National Fund for Technology Innovation should consider and study the establishment of a business consulting and support center, building a team of experts to support and advise businesses; develop a general manual on how to operate, general operation of procedures and mechanisms for enterprises.
