Not only that, the application of advanced science and technology also helps to reduce the consumption of raw materials and fuel; improve working conditions, raise the level of production safety for people and equipment; reduce the negative impact on the environment. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dung, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People’s Committee, emphasized: In 2020, despite being heavily impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic, Vietnam’s economy still maintains a positive growth momentum. Vietnam’s innovation index in 2020 ranks 42 out of 131 countries and economies, up 17 places compared to 2016, ranking third in Southeast Asia. This result is due to businesses, farmers, organizations and individuals promoting the application of scientific and technological advances, taking advantage of the achievements of the 4th Industrial Revolution into the reality of production, business and life. In order to promote the connection of supply and demand and develop the S&T market in the Mekong Delta in general and Can Tho city in particular, the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho city has just organized a series of events “Technology introduction, display and demonstration seminars” year 2020\u201d. This is an opportunity for policy makers, scientists and businesses to exchange information on opportunities, challenges, problems, solutions… in promoting technology supply-demand connection. At the same time, the event also displayed and introduced more than 200 technologies, equipment, processes\/technological products of organizations, enterprises, institutes, schools in the Mekong Delta and neighboring provinces, in the fields of manufacturing and processing. agricultural and fishery transformation, mechanical automation, water treatment, high-tech agricultural production and innovation start-up space. On this occasion, there were 8 memorandums of understanding on cooperation and technology transfer contracts between state management units, institutes, schools and enterprises of Can Tho city, some provinces in the Mekong Delta and Ho Chi Minh City. Connection Despite many efforts, the research, transfer and application of science and technology in production and business still face many obstacles. Our country’s technology market is still mainly looking for buying and selling machinery and equipment, there have not been many transactions with high technology content such as technology trading, patent rights… Consulting, supply connection – requirements, technology transfer brokers at technology exchanges are maintained and deployed. However, this activity in some exchanges is still in its infancy, has not yet formed a network or system, but only focuses on single consulting work.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Realizing the importance of science and technology, activities to connect supply – demand and develop the science and technology market are of special interest to the State, enterprises, organizations and individuals.
