On October 6, 2023, Can Tho Science and Technology Information Center organized a workshop “Developing open science, technology and innovation information sources”.
Attending the conference were Mr. Tran Dong Phuong An, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho City, leaders of the Department of Science and Technology and specialized agencies under the Department from the provinces in the MeKong Delta, Departments, Boards, Sectors, Institutes, Universities, Enterprises in Can Tho City.
The workshop was organized to develop and improve the quality of scientific and technological information systems towards digital transformation; building and operating digital platforms; Strengthen effective links between science and technology information organizations of ministries, branches, localities, universities, and research institutes.
At the conference, the presenters presented papers: “Application of information technology in libraries in the context of the 4.0 industrial revolution and activities of the National Department of Science and Technology Information ” – MSc. Tran Thi Hai Yen, Deputy Director of the National Science and Technology Library; “Developing science, technology and innovation information resources – Opportunities and challenges for Public Libraries in the context of digital transformation” – MSc. Tran Xuan Chinh, Ba Ria Vung Tau Provincial Library; “Solutions for managing and developing smart library models in the context of digital transformation – Experience from University Libraries” – Dr. Huynh Man Dat, City University of Culture. Ho Chi Minh; “Open science trends and solution systems from IGroup” – Ms. Nguyen Thuy Linh, Sales Director of IGroup representative office in Vietnam; “Introducing solutions for digital transformation of science, technology and innovation information sources” – Mr. Lam Quoc Tuan, Director of Southern Office of Information and Digital Technology Joint Stock Company
At the conference, a signing ceremony for cooperation on developing open science, technology and innovation information sources took place between the Can Tho Science and Technology Information Center and the Information and Digital Technology Joint Stock Company, Library of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education.
