In accordance with Plan No. 82/KH-UBND dated April 12, 2021, from the People’s Committee of Can Tho City regarding the implementation of the project for the deployment, application, and management of the traceability system in Can Tho City for the period 2021-2030, and Letter No. 190/SKHCN-TDC dated February 22, 2023, from the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho City about implementing Decision No. 324/QĐ-UBND dated February 15, 2023, from the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Can Tho City, on July 11, 2024, representatives of the Center for Application of Scientific and Technological Advances in Can Tho held a working session with Nam Can Tho University regarding the application of the product traceability system for the university’s products.
Attending the meeting were Ms. Doan Thi Hong Quyen – Deputy Director in charge of the Center for Application of Scientific and Technological Advances and other members from the Center; Ms. Duong Thi Mong Ngoc – Institute for Research and Development of Medicinal Materials (Nam Can Tho University) and other members from the Institute.
During the meeting, representatives of the Center for Application of Scientific and Technological Advances introduced the product traceability management system of Can Tho City; provided information on the registration process to participate in the system, the required documentation; and collected and recorded basic information about the production unit and the researched and produced products.
During the meeting, the Institute for Research and Development of Medicinal Materials expressed a strong willingness to participate in the product traceability system of Can Tho City with products such as DNC ginseng, DNC heart medicine, DNC calming medicine, DNC NAMCTGU, DNC liver medicine, etc. This participation aims to enhance value, affirm brand reputation, ensure quality products, effective production management, and quality management from the production, processing, transportation, to the distribution of products directly to consumers. Additionally, the Institute for Research and Development of Medicinal Materials proposed to collaborate with the Center for Application of Scientific and Technological Advances in researching and applying medicinal materials from plant resources in Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta region.
