On June 16, 2023, CASTA (under the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho City) supported Nhon Binh Cooperation Group and Nhon Binh A Cooperation Group to register to participate in the Product Traceability Management System of Can Tho City at check.cantho.gov.vn.
These are two cooperative groups of durian production in Nhon Ai commune, Phong Dien district, Can Tho city. Nhon Binh cooperative group consists of 31 members with a total durian cultivation area of 31.6 ha. Nhon Binh A cooperative group consists of 24 members with a total area of 29.2 ha of durian cultivation. In the season of 2023, the productivity of durian gardens is from 17-18 tons/ha, the average selling price is about 50,000 VND/kg – 60,000 VND/kg.
At the cooperation groups, engineers of CASTA have assisted the cooperative groups in creating accounts and updating information on the system. At the same time, CASTA has surveyed the production process, guided to build the process, plan and organize the implementation of traceability for products.
