Seminar to introduce the National Key Science and Technology Program for the period up to 2025 “Supporting research, development and technology application of Industry 4.0”

To promote research, development, transfer and application of key technologies of Industry 4.0 to create products in production, business and services; support innovation and implementation of management, production and business models of organizations and businesses in priority and important fields in the direction of digital transformation. The Ministry of Science and Technology (Science and Technology) issued Decision No. 2813/QD-BKHCN dated September 27, 2018 approving the National Key Science and Technology Program for the period up to 2025: “Supporting research and development and technology application of Industry 4.0″, code KC-4.0/19-25.

In order for the Program to be implemented and widely disseminated, on September 18, 2019 at Can Tho University (CTU), the Program Management Board in collaboration with CTU held a seminar to introduce the key S&T Program. national level for the period up to 2025 “Supporting research, development and technology application of industry 4.0”, code KC-4.0/19-25.

Attending the seminar were Mr. Ly Hoang Tung, Deputy Director of the High Technology Department, Ministry of Science and Technology; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy, Vice President of KC-4.0 Program; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Nguyen Doan Khoi, Deputy Head of Department of Scientific Management and representatives of relevant faculties, departments and departments of CTU; Delegates from research institutes, universities, enterprises, Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City. Can Tho, representatives of S&T organizations and enterprises.

At the beginning of the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy, Vice President of the Program presented important contents related to the proposed topics and tasks of the Program. Specifically: the proposals need to be consistent with the goals, contents and products issued in Decision No. 2813/QD-BKHCN dated September 27, 2018 of the Ministry of Science and Technology, in which priority is given to: proposals of Ministries, branches, provincial People’s Committees; proposals with coordination between research institutes, universities and S&T organizations and enterprises, especially innovative start-ups to support and perfect technological innovation; innovation and implementation of management and production models in priority and important fields. The program aims to support pilot models of business and service management in businesses and organizations in a number of relatively selective fields in the direction of digital transformation.

Specifically, the proposals will be received according to 3 groups of contents under the program framework KC-4.0/19-25; Group 1: Research, develop, transfer and apply key technologies of Industry 4.0 including: artificial intelligence – Artificial intelligence, blockchain – Blockchain, big data analytics – Big data analytics, things Internet connection – Internet of Things, 5th generation mobile network – 5th Generation Mobile Network, Robots – robots, Cloud computing – cloud computing …; Group 2: Research and build a database and digital infrastructure as a foundation, serving the development and application of key technologies of Industry 4.0; Group 3: Researching models of digital transformation, innovation and implementation of management, production and business models of organizations and businesses in priority and important fields in the direction of transformation digital, adapting to Industry 4.0.

The program encourages proposals in collaboration between research institutes, universities and S&T organizations and businesses, especially innovative start-ups to support and perfect technology; innovate and implement management, production and business models in priority and important fields; focus on economic strengths of the region: Agriculture, Tourism, Processing industry; … Patent proposals, proposals for S&T tasks of units in Can Tho city and other provinces in the region Mekong Delta region.
