On April 5, 2024, the Can Tho Center for Advanced Application of Science and Technology, in collaboration with Phu Sa Genomic JSC, organized a seminar on the use of PCR SPOTCHECK technology to detect common diseases in whiteleg shrimp. The event provided a platform for experts, researchers, and agriculture professionals to exchange knowledge on the application of biotechnology in shrimp disease control. SPOTCHECK testing offers fast and accurate detection of viral pathogens, even in the early stages, presenting innovative solutions for aquaculture development.
Key presentations included results comparing SPOTCHECK’s effectiveness for diagnosing diseases such as WSSV, IHHNV, EMS, and EHP with OIE standards, delivered by Prof. Dang Thi Hoang Oanh from Can Tho University’s Fisheries School and Ms. Huynh Thi Hong Phuong from Phu Sa Genomic JSC.
