On December 27, 2019, the Faculty of Rural Development, Can Tho University held a scientific conference: “Industrial Revolution 4.0 with building a new type of cooperative in the Mekong Delta: Opportunities and challenge”. Participating in the workshop were representatives of Phung Hiep District People’s Committee, Union of Cooperatives in Can Tho City and Hau Giang Province, Sub-Departments of Rural Development of provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta together with agricultural experts. industry, information technology and cooperatives.
The workshop aims to summarize the researches and practical applications related to the Industrial Revolution 4.0 along with the building of a new type of cooperative in the Mekong Delta; exchange scientific content and practical experiences in the implementation of guidelines and policies of the Party and State on building new-type cooperatives, implementing the 4.0 industrial revolution in agriculture, developing cooperation agricultural commune; exchange and create bridges between experts, researchers and domestic and foreign organizations in the field of agriculture and cooperatives in the Mekong Delta. At the Workshop, there were 08 presentations presented around two main topics: New type cooperatives: Current situation and development orientation; Agriculture technology 4.0 with cooperatives.
