On the morning of July 9, in Hanoi, the Politburo and the Secretariat organized a national conference to disseminate Regulation No. 144-QĐ/TW on the revolutionary moral standards of officials and party members in the new period, and Directive No. 35-CT/TW on the congresses of party organizations at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party.
The conference was held both in-person at the Diên Hồng Hall, National Assembly, and online to 15,644 points across central agencies, provincial and municipal party committees, and grassroots levels, with over 1.28 million party members participating.
Present at the Diên Hồng Hall were Politburo members: President Tô Lâm; Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính; Chairwoman of the National Assembly Trần Thanh Mẫn; and Permanent Secretary of the Secretariat Lương Cường. Also in attendance were members of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Committee of the Party, alternate members of the Central Committee; leaders of central departments, ministries, provincial and municipal party committees; and key leaders of local party organizations and government levels.
Party members of the Can Tho Department of Science and Technology participated online from the Department’s Hall.
At the conference, delegates listened to Comrade Nguyễn Trọng Nghĩa, member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, and Head of the Central Propaganda Department, explain the content of Regulation No. 144-QĐ/TW; and Comrade Lê Minh Hưng, member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, and Head of the Central Organization Department, present the content of Directive No. 35-CT/TW.
Regarding Regulation No. 144-QĐ/TW, this is a concrete implementation of Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW of the XIII National Congress of the Party on promoting the construction and rectification of the Party and the political system; resolutely preventing and pushing back, and strictly handling officials and party members who decline in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, and exhibit signs of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation.” Regulation 144-QĐ/TW clearly states the criteria and revolutionary moral standards that officials and party members need to follow to meet the requirements and tasks of the revolution in the new period.
As for Directive No. 35-CT/TW, this document is extremely important, clearly outlining the viewpoints, principles, goals, requirements, and fundamental contents necessary to prepare for the congresses of party organizations at all levels. This requirement aims to ensure that party organizations and committees at all levels grasp, lead, direct, concretize, and implement it at their respective levels, ensuring consistency and unity throughout the political system. In his concluding remarks, the Politburo member and Permanent Secretary of the Secretariat, Lương Cường, emphasized the need to seriously and effectively implement Regulation No. 144-QĐ/TW and Directive No. 35-CT/TW, creating a significant shift in awareness and action within the entire Party and political system, and increasing consensus in society and among the people.
