Following the success of the past years in enhancing career orientation activities for students, on November 7, 2020, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (IT & ICT), Can Tho University (CTU) organized Organized Information Technology Job Day 2020 with the participation of more than 2,000 IT students. This is a joint effort of the school and 18 well-known enterprises operating in the field of ICT from Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta.

In order to create a bridge between schools and businesses, between employers and students, at this year’s IT Job Fair, students were introduced to the overview and activities of businesses with booths. goods to promote and introduce units, products and services; Direct recruitment interviews, career counseling, introduction of study abroad opportunities, training, internships, etc.
The IT job fair not only creates a good opportunity for businesses to visit, grasp the training situation and interview students directly, but it is also an opportunity for schools and businesses to exchange ideas. exchange information, share difficulties and challenges about IT human resources as well as cooperate in training and employment issues. Through this event, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology as well as CTU wishes to build a stronger and more effective school-enterprise relationship.

CTU acknowledges the companionship, support, cooperation and sponsorship of IT job fair partners at CTU and hopes to continue to receive the companionship of businesses to have more programs. Moreover, in order to help students gain practical experience, acquire certain skills right from the time they are still in school, thereby having better career opportunities after graduation. The school also wishes that the students will strive to strive and achieve the best in their studies, have a better direction for themselves, so that after graduation, they can meet the requirements of employers. use and achieve more success in life.
On this occasion, CTU informed about the National Student Informatics Olympiad and the ACM ICPC – International Collegiate Programming Contest, or OLP-ICPC for short, taking place from 8 to 5 days. 11/12/2020. This event attracted hundreds of IT teams from more than 100 major universities in the country and ASEAN region, with a total size of over 1,000 students selected. This is a big event hosted by the University and we hope that the units will accompany the school in the upcoming OLP-ICPC Competition.
