The objective of the study is to build a model of school counseling for students at the junior high and high school levels in the city. In-depth interviews were conducted in a variety of ways on many different groups of subjects and accompanied by survey surveys and empirical evaluation. Using the method of document research; method of seminars and workshops to collect opinions from subjects related to school counseling in high schools; empirical methods to evaluate the effectiveness of the school counseling model organized for middle and high school students in Can Tho city; mathematical statistical methods to clarify the intrinsic relationships between the structural components of the school counseling model, test the rigor of the model through multivariate regression analysis.

The results of the study on the school counseling model at high schools will contribute to improving the educational effectiveness in Can Tho city and anticipate the implementation of the new general education program according to the roadmap. applied from 2019 to 2020. The research and implementation of the school counseling model also creates a positive impact on the family and society in general. Research activities will promote the socialization of education and student care. Students’ families will be more aware of their roles and responsibilities in raising children and join hands with the school in activities.
