In celebration of “World Intellectual Property Day” on April 26 and to honor the role of intellectual property in socio-economic life, the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho City organized a scientific seminar with the theme: “Intellectual Property – A Foundation for Promoting Innovation and Socio-Economic Development.” The seminar took place on the morning of April 25, 2024, at Ninh Kieu 2 Hotel (3 Hoa Binh, Tan An Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City). The Center for Application of Science and Technology Progress in Can Tho coordinated the display of innovative products from various units.
The seminar provided an opportunity for institutes, schools, departments, agencies, and the community of scientists, especially businesses, scientific and technological enterprises, as well as exemplary youth members from provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region, to exchange ideas, share insights, and listen to opinions, proposals, and recommendations. The goal of the seminar is to find solutions to enhance the role of intellectual property, thereby serving as a foundation for promoting innovation and sustainable socio-economic development in Can Tho City in particular and the Mekong Delta region in general.
