National Technical Innovation ContestTwo authors from Cần Thơ City won awards at the 17th National Technical Innovation Contest

(CT) – According to the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, the judging panel of the 17th National Technical Innovation Contest (2022-2023) has recently announced the winning projects and solutions.

Master Hồ Quốc Hùng, who previously had a solution featured in the “Vietnam Innovation Golden Book” in 2023, is among the award recipients.

After two years of implementation, the contest organizers received 587 solutions across various fields: Information Technology, Electronics, Telecommunications (90 solutions); Mechanical Automation, Construction, Transportation (111 solutions); Materials, Chemicals, Energy (67 solutions); Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, and Environment (115 solutions); Medicine and Pharmaceuticals (77 solutions); Education and Training (127 solutions). These solutions had previously won awards at provincial, city, ministry, and sector-level contests nationwide. The judging panel selected 90 solutions for awards consideration by the organizing committee, including: 6 First Prizes, 12 Second Prizes, 24 Third Prizes, and 48 Encouragement Prizes.

Among the winners, Cần Thơ City had two authors who received awards. Master Hồ Quốc Hùng from the Cần Thơ Center for Scientific and Technological Advancement (under the Cần Thơ Department of Science and Technology) won a Second Prize in the Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, and Environment category with his solution “Quantum Mechanical Device Application to Prevent Liquid Stratification in Food Processing and Environmental Protection.” Master and Doctor Phạm Duy Đức from the Cần Thơ University of Medicine and Pharmacy received an Encouragement Prize in the Medicine and Pharmaceuticals category for his solution “Technical Measurement System for Acupuncture Channels.”

The closing ceremony and awards presentation for the 17th National Technical Innovation Contest is scheduled for April 18, 2024, at the Hanoi Opera House.
