On April 25, 2023, CASTA held a scientific conference with the theme “Technology for production and preservation of young rice flour and anti-fungal extracts of young rice”. This is a workshop within the content of the city-level science and technology project “Determining antioxidant and antifungal activities of young rice for use as functional foods and skin care cosmetics”. The project is carried out by CASTA.
The workshop was organized to introduce some of the research results that have been achieved, as well as receive comments from experts, scientists, Institutes – Universities, authorities to help complete the report of the project before official acceptance.
At the workshop, the presenters presented presentations: “Rice leaves – a new source of raw materials for functional foods, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics applications”, “Research on rice flour production process” young rice and young rice extracts”, “Test procedure for medicinal substances with anti-aging activity”.
The delegates exchanged and clarified the contents of the research team and proposed some contents to improve the production process of young rice flour and young rice extract as well as the application potential of rice leaves.
Speaking at the workshop, Ms. Nguyen Thi To Uyen, Director of CASTA suggested the research team complete the contents of the topic. At the same time, CASTA wishes to continue to receive cooperation from experts and institutions in implementing research topics/projects and applying technology in production and life.
