On the morning of January 17, 2023, at the Hall of the People’s Committee of Can Tho city, a meeting of typical scientists and intellectuals of the year of the year 2023 was held with the theme “Science, technology and bright innovation create – Arousing aspirations, creating the future”.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Ngoc He – Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People’s Committee, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tam – Head of Propaganda Department of Can Tho City Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dong – Vice Chairman of the City People’s Council. Can Tho city, Mr. Nguyen Trung Nhan – Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho city, Mr. Ngo Anh Tin – Director of Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho city and more than 200 typical scientists and intellectuals in the world. At the meeting, the delegates discussed, exchanged and contributed ideas for science and technology activities, innovation and solutions to make Can Tho city the center of the Mekong Delta on science and technology according to Resolution No. 59 of the Politburo.

At the meeting, Can Tho city honored and awarded certificates of merit to two city-level Science and Technology Steering Committees that were evaluated and graded excellently in 2022.
