On November 12, 2019, the Center for Technology Transfer and Services, Can Tho University (CTU) in collaboration with the Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Technological Research Organization (CSIRO) organized a Workshop on Understanding and Developing research and development (R&D) links between businesses and CTU, within the framework of the Vietnam-Australia Cooperation program for innovation (Aus4Innovation) jointly by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the Ministry of Science and Vietnam Technology conducted. Attending the seminar were experts from CSIRO, institutes, schools, departments, companies and enterprises in the Mekong Delta.
Hội thảo nhằm tạo ra diễn đàn để các nhà quản lý, các nhà nghiên cứu khoa học và các doanh nghiệp công nghệ có cơ hội trao đổi, nghiên cứu, phân tích tiềm năng, triển vọng và đề xuất giải pháp hợp tác nghiên cứu và chuyển giao công nghệ tại ĐBSCL. Các đại biểu đã nghe báo cáo của chuyên gia CSIRO về bối cảnh trong nước và quốc tế về nhu cầu cần thiết của hợp tác nghiên cứu và phát triển giữa doanh nghiệp và trường đại học. Hội thảo đã nhận được nhiều ý kiến đóng góp, chia sẻ kinh nghiệm của các đại biểu về nhu cầu của doanh nghiệp cho việc phát triển liên kết với trường đại học, các mô hình và cách tiếp cận đổi mới trong hợp tác R&D giữa doanh nghiệp và trường đại học.
Các đại biểu cũng chia sẻ mô hình liên kết thực tiễn giữa Trường ĐHCT và doanh nghiệp nhằm giúp cho hoạt động nghiên cứu khoa học và chuyển giao công nghệ của trường ngày càng tốt hơn với mục tiêu nâng cao chất lượng đào tạo và năng lực nghiên cứu khoa học, triển khai đề tài dự án theo lĩnh vực ưu tiên, phục vụ phát triển trường, ngành và địa phương, đẩy mạnh hợp tác nghiên cứu khoa học và chuyển giao công nghệ với các viện, trường, địa phương và doanh nghiệp.
Prof. Dr. Ha Thanh Toan, Rector of CTU shared that science and technology activities play an important role in the quality of education and training. Over the years, this activity of the school has achieved many important achievements. Publications and results in scientific research and technology transfer not only make an important contribution to improving the quality of training but also contribute to the socio-economic development of the region. In the context of R&D development requirements to innovate technology, improve productivity and product quality, the link between enterprises and universities must be promoted. Therefore, the Workshop “Understanding and Developing R&D Linking Opportunities between Enterprises and CTU” was held with the desire to promote the link between scientific research and technology transfer of CTU and enterprises. , contributing to promoting the country’s socio-economic growth through activities of encouraging, incubating and developing scientific research works into commercialized products, assisting in improving competitiveness business in the context of globalization.
