On June 4, the Center for Advanced Application of Science and Technology (Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho City) held a workshop on “Green agricultural production”.

The conference aims to introduce new technology trends, share advanced techniques applied to agricultural production, mainly in the field of crop production. Thereby, partners learn and cooperate, promote the transfer and commercialization of technology products.
High-tech green agriculture is an agriculture that rationally applies new and advanced technologies to production in order to improve efficiency, create a breakthrough in productivity and quality of agricultural products, and satisfy increasing demand. society and ensure sustainable agricultural development.
The development of high-tech green agriculture and scientific and technological innovation is considered as one of the key and key solutions. The application of science and technology solves challenges in agricultural development with the advantages of technologies such as: biotechnology, greenhouse technology, drip irrigation technology, sensor technology, automation , internet of things … help agricultural production save costs, increase productivity, lower costs and improve the quality of agricultural products, protect the environment. On the other hand, high-tech green agriculture helps farmers be proactive in production, overcome seasonality, reduce dependence on weather and climate, and meet market demand for quality agricultural products.
At the seminar, the delegates listened to speakers from the Center for High-tech Agricultural Research and Development in Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City; Relevant units to inform and introduce organic production trends in agriculture. Technology to improve water efficiency in agriculture, post-harvest processing and preservation technology, the situation of high-tech agriculture in the world, and proposed strategies for developing high-tech agriculture for Vietnam.
