On the morning of June 19, 2020, the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho city established the Council “Consulting to determine the city-level science and technology tasks to be implemented in 2021” for the health sector.

At the meeting, on the basis of determining that the proposed scientific and technological tasks must derive from practical needs, in accordance with the city’s socio-economic development orientation, the development orientation of branches, localities and the actual situation of the unit; having novelty, creativity and applicability to bring practical socio-economic efficiency to the locality; especially, each proposed S&T task must be associated with specific receiving and transferring units.

Council members discussed, evaluated and analyzed the names, contents and expected results of scientific and technological tasks proposed and ordered to be implemented in 2021 in the medical field. with the topic “Clinical and microbiological characteristics of hospitalized acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)”; “Osteoporosis situation, osteoporosis risk factors and prediction of fracture risk in postmenopausal women in Can Tho City”; “Study on characteristics, clopidogrel resistance, CYP2C19 genotype and some related factors in patients with recurrent acute myocardial infarction”.
